When downloading SafetyLine for the first time you will be prompted to accept various permissions to allow portions of the app to work. Sometimes you may miss one of these or accidentally turn them off within your settings. In this article, we will be covering the permissions SafetyLine uses and where to find them on your Android or IOS device.
Permissions
Location: Enabling this will allow SafetyLine to drop GPS location markers making it easier for you to be found in the case of an Emergency.
Microphone: This permission allows you to leave a voice message when performing a Check-in or End Monitoring command.
Notifications: You may alter the ability to receive notifications, where they appear on the screen, and other customizable options within the notification section.
Background App Refresh (IOS): Enabling this allows your app to function well you access other features or apps on your phone
Cellular Data: Allows SafetyLine to use cellular data when you don't have a WiFi connection
Where can I find these settings?
Android
On Android you can access these settings by going into your phone's Settings > Apps > SafetyLine
IOS
On IOS you can access these settings by going into your phone's Settings > Scroll to the bottom > SafetyLine
