⚠️ Note: Although SafetyLine supports the ZOLEO satellite device, please note that ZOLEO devices are not recommended for use with SafetyLine. ZOLEO relies on email integration instead of API integration, meaning all communication between SafetyLine and ZOLEO is subject to the same delivery delays, rules, and filters as normal emails.
We strongly recommend a Garmin InReach or SPOT Messenger Device for satellite usage with SafetyLine, due to their more robust API integration.
Configuring SafetyLine with a ZOLEO Device

Login to your MyZOLEO portal, navigate to "Devices & Plans," and ensure your associated ZOLEO device has been activated on your profile. If your device is not yet listed within your portal, please follow the ZOLEO activation guide to activate your device.

Add SafetyLine as one of the two mandatory Check-in Contacts for the device by using

as the phone number. For Contact Method, select "Email." This step can be done upon device setup, or by navigating to the "SOS and Check-in Contacts" tab and adding a new contact.
⚠️Note: The phone number provided is for SafetyLine's automated Voice App service, as all ZOLEO check-in contacts require a phone number. SafetyLine will not respond to any phone calls or texts placed to this number.
- Add your IMEI number to the "Satellite Device" section of your SafetyLine profile.

Configuring SafetyLine with the ZOLEO App
The default check-in button on the ZOLEO device will check you into SafetyLine.
Due to the fact ZOLEO messages cannot be customized, other SafetyLine commands must be sent through the ZOLEO Mobile Messaging App. The following steps are required for individuals to end SafetyLine monitoring after use.
- After following the previous steps to configure your ZOLEO device, download the ZOLEO Mobile Messaging App to your mobile phone.
- Sync the ZOLEO App to your ZOLEO device via Bluetooth.
- Within the ZOLEO App, navigate to the "Chats" screen, then select the "New Message" button. Tap the magnifying glass, enter

as the email address, then select "Use this contact." - Send a Predefined Message to perform a SafetyLine Command. A list of available messages is provided at the bottom of this article.
