⚠️ Please note that the following functionality is only available to Administrators.
After configuring your Garmin inReach device(s) with SafetyLine, you can configure your device(s) to also receive SafetyLine notifications identical to those received via e-mail, as follows:

- Missed check-in alerts
- Unconfirmed Emergency alerts (for both Workers and Monitors)
- Panic Emergency alerts (for Monitors)
- Workers will receive a single 'Check-in Due' notification on a regular check-in
Configuring inReach Notifications
- Ensure your inReach device(s) is/are configured for use with SafetyLine. This configuration must be completed before continuing to the next step.
- Log into https://explore.garmin.com. Navigate to the “Settings” section in the top right corner and select “Portal Connect.”

Scroll down to the "V2 Setup" section and make it is toggled on. Then, select "New API Key," and set the Expiration Date dropdown to the period of time that works best for you and your organization's policy on key expiration. In the API Key Name space, enter
SafetyLine.
⚠️Important: Notifications will stop working when the API Key expires. Consider setting a personal reminder to renew the expiry date.

A special API Key will be generated in the "Key Value" field, made up of a random combination of letters and numbers. This API Key will only be displayed once. Copy the API Key that is generated.
⚠️Important: The generated key is only displayed once. Make sure to copy it as soon as it appears.

Login to https://slmonitor.com. Select the Company Tab (the leftmost tab displaying the name of your organization). Navigate to Settings > Satellite > Manage Garmin Satellite Device Notifications.

In the API Key field, enter the API copied from the previous step. Select Save.

To test the connection, click 'Test Connection'. If successful, Connection Successful message will appear in green text.
You have successfully configured SafetyLine Notifications for your satellite device.
⚠️Important Final Notes:
- To ensure notifications are up-to-date, satellite device notifications are only received when the user's last check-in was from their satellite device.
- Only one API Key can be generated per Company ID. To function, all SafetyLine users within the Company need their inReach profiles on the same https://explore.garmin.com user account under which the API Key is generated.
- If you are not receiving notifications on your Garmin, please click the "test connection" button to ensure connectivity.
- Monitors and workers have to be checked in using a satellite device for the Garmin inReach notifications to work.
