With SafetyLine's Motion Features enabled in your SafetyLine Smartphone App, your device will respond to specific motion or inactivity to alert Monitors of an emergency.
Using Motion Features
There are three Motion Features available:
- Man Down Detection
- Shake for Emergency
- Fall Detection
To enable Motion Features, proceed to the Settings menu in the SafetyLine App on your Smartphone.
Configuring Motion Features in Settings
Turn on a motion feature by selecting the appropriate switch.
Man Down Detection
When the Man Down Detection Motion Feature is enabled and no motion is detected, the App alerts you two minutes before it sends an emergency notification to your monitors.
Shake For Emergency
If Shake For Emergency is enabled and you wish to indicate an emergency in SafetyLine, shake your device to alert your monitors of a Panic Emergency. The App will then alert you immediately before it sends an emergency notification to your monitors.
Fall Detection
With Fall Detection enabled, and your device experiences a fall or a sudden impact, SafetyLine will alert your monitors of a Panic Emergency.
Motion Emergency Countdown
If a Motion Feature is detected and there is no emergency, you can interact with the App to cancel the motion emergency by clicking 'I AM OK' (see image below).

Benefits of using SafetyLine's Motion Features
The Motion Features within SafetyLine's enhanced Smartphone App, are extremely beneficial in customizing your SafetyLine experience. No matter what mobile device a worker is using, these features will work identically across all mobile platforms. These features are valuable to all the types of SafetyLine users:
Workers benefit from these Motion Features since they are now able to declare Panic Emergencies rapidly on sudden impact, movement or inactivity.
Monitors will be better notified if a Panic Emergency were to take place, due to the multiple ways their worker can now declare an Emergency
Administrators can better standardize safety procedures across their company or department by ensuring new safety precautions, such as making workers enable certain (if not all) Motion Features
These Motion Features are an asset to the new SafetyLine Smartphone App for the assurance of Lone Worker safety. They are highly useful tools for Lone Workers that are in high risk situations where hitting the Panic Emergency button may be too time consuming or not possible.
