Workers can now use Siri and the Apple Shortcuts (Commands) app to check in, check out, and report emergencies in SafetyLine. This allows for hands-free and quick access to safety features.
Before getting started, make sure you have:
• An iPhone with the latest Operating System
• Siri enabled on your device
• The latest SafetyLine app installed and logged in
• The Shortcuts app enabled (installed by default on iOS)
Siri
- Please follow the link for instructions on how to turn on Siri: Turn on and activate Siri on iPhone - Apple Support (CA)
- With your voice, say: "Hey Siri, turn on SafetyLine shortcuts"
- Tap 'turn on'
- Now, utilize your voice to say a configured Siri phrase such as: '"Check in with SafetyLine"
⚠️Make sure you complete at least one check‑in from the SafetyLine app before trying to use any Siri check‑in commands.
Shortcuts (Commands)

- Once in the Shortcuts app, click on the '+' sign on the top right
- Search "SafetyLine"
- Click this "i" icon on the desired shortcut you wish to use

Select "Add" to add the shortcut or "Pin" to pin to your homepage.
Another way to add a SafetyLine shortcut to the home screen
1. Open the Shortcuts app
2. Scroll down to the 'All Shortcuts' section and select SafetyLine
3. Choose the action you want, then press and hold the shortcut’s options to reveal 'Add to Home Screen' option.
The shortcut feature allows check-ins with just one tap.
