Configuring the SafetyLine App
Before you begin, you will need to download the SafetyLine Android App from the Google Play Store by searching for “SafetyLine."
When you first use the app, you will need to enter your credentials before you are able to use SafetyLine. Your email login is most likely to be the same as the email you get notifications from SafetyLine on.

You will also need to confirm acceptance of the Terms of Use, and then select "Login" to proceed.
If it's your first time using the SafetyLine app, you'll be prompted with a quick overview of the app.
You can either select "Skip" to be brought to the main screen, or swipe through the slides to learn about the app. In the last slide, you'll be presented with options to "Go To Settings," or "Go To Main Page." Select "Go To Settings" in order to configure your GPS options.
The toggle here will enable or disable GPS breadcrumbs, and the menu below will allow you to choose to send breadcrumbs either when you're checked-in or in emergency.
When you are finished, select the back arrow at the top left to save your Settings and go to the Main Page.
Performing an Action with the SafetyLine App
From the Main Page of the app, you have access to:
- Your current status (Example: Not Monitored, OK, Report Due)
- Your account name (Example: Jimmy Smith)
- SafetyLine actions (Check-in, End Monitoring, Emergency)
- The Menu (Three-dot button at top right)
You can now use the SafetyLine app to update your status by performing an action.
The "Check-in", "End Monitoring," and "Emergency" buttons all function the same way but complete different actions within SafetyLine.
Select the button for the associated action you would like to complete:
- Check-in - Begin monitoring or reset your timer.
- End Monitoring - End monitoring at the end of your day or when you're finished working alone.
- Emergency - Alert your SafetyLine Monitors by declaring an emergency.
After selecting an action, the app will begin to record a voice message. If you would like to complete your action with a voice message, select "Finish."
An action can be also be completed by attaching a text message or without attaching a message by selecting the appropriate options.
If you choose to attach a text message, type in your check-in message before selecting the paper airplane icon at the top right to send.
After completing your action, you will be taken back to the Main Page, and the updated status will reflect that you are now checked into SafetyLine.
An additional option available from the drop-down Menu on the Main Page is "Custom Check-in," which will allow you to set a custom timer.
After selecting "Custom check-in," customize your timer with the menus for hours and minutes, and then select "Set."
The next screen will ask you to attach a message, just like performing a standard action.
